Controls Engineer (Chicago, IL) - An industry leader in the design, manufacture, and installation of electron beam, laser, resistance, and arc-welding systems seeks an experienced Controls Engineer to join their team in south Chicago.

In this position, candidate will design the controls portion of welding systems in a manner that is cost-effective and ensures quality. Machines will be designed in Boolean format and various other forms of control ladder logic.

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor degree in electrical or controls engineering
• 5-10 years of experience designing control logic for CNC machines in industrial equipment
• Software experience with C and/or C++
• Experience with MS Visual Studio and/or Visual Studio.net
• Design experience for embedded process controls
• HMI and DAQ design experience that runs on MS Windows platform, such as Wonderware, National Instruments, etc.
• • Experience in the engineering of industrial equipment

$70K-$80K base salary; relocation assistance is available.
